Synopsis
The vessel flooded and foundered to the north of the Shetland Isles.
Action taken
To prevent a similar accident occurring in the future, the owners were recommended to ensure the following on any fishing vessel that they own in the future

Watertight bulkheads are maintained in watertight condition throughout the life of the vessel

Bilge alarms, with visual and audible signal, should be fitted in all the main watertight compartments

A television should not be fitted in the wheelhouse
