Summary

Container ship Maersk Newport suffered damage during heavy weather, 50 miles west of Guernsey on 10 November 2008. The vessel continued on passage to the container berth in Algeciras, Spain. On the 15 November 2008, while undergoing repairs, the ship suffered further damage when a fire broke out.
