Action taken

The Chief Inspector of Marine Accidents wrote to:

  • Stena Line supporting the actions taken as a result of their internal inquiry

  • Broadgate, the manufacturer of the VDR, recommending that they make all users aware of procedures to ensure that the VDR is switched on and to ensure that the MAIB is kept informed of changes to their VDRs that could affect data retrieval.
