Make changes to your private limited company
Company address
You must tell Companies House if you want to change:
- your registered office address
- the address where you keep your records, and which records you’ll keep there
Your address will not officially change until it’s registered at Companies House.
Your company’s new addresses must be in the same part of the UK that the company was registered (‘incorporated’).
For example, if your company was registered in Scotland, the new registered office address must be in Scotland.
You must re-incorporate your company if you move to another part of the UK, for example from England to Scotland.
Companies House will tell HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) that you’ve changed your registered office address.
