You need permission from the police to hold an occasional clay pigeon shoot in Northern Ireland.

How to apply

Download ‘form 30 36 application to hold an occasional clay pigeon shoot’ from the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) website.

You’ll need to provide:

• your details
• the full location of event
• dates and times of the event

You can only apply if you’re the organiser of the event, and 1 application for each location is needed.

You should apply at least 6 weeks before the event.

Fines and penalties

It is a criminal offence to fail to comply with any conditions PSNI attach to the shoot.
