Hazard
The product presents a serious risk of electric shock due to its poor mechanical strength and lack of adequate creepage and clearance distances. The product also features an interconnection that plug does not meet dimensional requirements. When tested, the plastic control enclosure broke open giving users access to live parts. Additionally, the minimum creepage and clearance distances between live and neutral on the control printed circuit board (PCB) tracks were measured as less than 1mm. The minimum required is 1.5 mm clearance and 2.5 mm creepage. The product did not contain a marking label and no user instructions were provided. Some of the required documentation and markings were not present.
The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016.
