Hazard
Affected bicycles present a risk of injuries as the handlebar support and fork can become misaligned under specific circumstances. This could result in the rider losing control of the bicycle and falling or crashing.
The affected products do not meet the requirements of the General Product Safety Regulations 2005.
Corrective action
Owners of the T-Line model with a serial number up to 2406070001 should cease use immediately and visit the Brompton recall page for details on how to locate the serial number and use the serial number checker: https://www.brompton.com/legal/t-line-recall
If your bike is verified as affected, it will require a repair to increase the torque to 7Nm on the four steerer clamp hinge bolts. This can be performed for free through your local Brompton dealer, or at home, using a calibrated torque wrench (with step-by-step instructions available on the Brompton website).

Alternatively, any customer can visit their local authorised Brompton retailer to have this work performed at no cost.
