The product has been identified as presenting a risk of fire as the fabric fails to meet the requirements of the relevant standard BS5852. If the fabric came into contact with a naked flame, it could catch fire and continue to flame.
The product does not meet the requirements of the Furniture and Furnishings (Fire) (Safety) Regulations 1988.
Corrective action
The product has been recalled from end users. Affected customers are being contacted by Ferm Living to inform them of the safety risk, and provide further details on the replacement of the product or the issuing of a credit note.
