Hazard
The product presents a serious chemical risk as the plastic material from the strap contained phthalates, namely 11.0 ± 2.8% DBP and 0.04 ± 0.01% DEHP. This exceeds the maximum limit of 0.1% by mass of the plasticised material, as the sum of the four phthalates BBP, DBP, DEHP and DIBP, as specified by UK REACH. Exposure to phthalates can have adverse impacts the endocrine and reproductive systems.
The product does not meet the requirements of the REACH Enforcement Regulations 2008 or the General Product Safety Regulations 2005.
