Hazard
The product has been identified as presenting a risk of exposure to water / drowning as it substandard glue was used during a five-month manufacturing period, which can result in seam separation and deflation of affected units. If the seam separates when the product is in use, the user may fall into the water.
The product does not meet the requirements of the General Product Safety Regulations 2005.
Corrective action
The product has been recalled from end users. All potentially affected consumers were notified on 27 July 2022 and offered replacement paddle boards. Further information can be found on the company’s recall page: https://www.recallrtr.com/blackfin.
