Hazard
The product presents a risk of burns as it has been identified that internal components can overheat, resulting in melting of the plastic base of the torch. If the user were to touch the plastic base whilst it is hot, they could receive a burn.
The product does not meet the requirements of the Toys (Safety) Regulations 2011.
Corrective action
The product has been recalled from end users.
All distributors and retailers have been made aware of the recall and have been instructed to contact consumers by the manufacturer.
All consumers in possession of the product should stop using it immediately and return it to their place of purchase for a full refund.
