Hazard

The product presents a serious risk of electric shock as the shaver socket is connected directly to mains. The product should incorporate a Class II reinforced insulation isolation transformer to protect the user from electric shock in high moisture environments, which it did not. The product had also been constructed with a Class I LED driver unit and all accessible parts had not been earthed, as required.

The product also presents a risk of fire as internal parts were covered in a wax paper masking tape, which could ignite under fault conditions. The product also requires improvements to marking, labelling and documentation.

The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016.
