Hazard

The product presents a serious risk of electric shock as it is fitted with a ‘clover’ style plug which does not meet the requirements of the relevant standard, BS 1363. There is less than the required 9.5mm between the edge of the live pin and the side of the plug face, meaning it is possible for users to touch the live pin when plugging in, or unplugging the plug from the socket. The plug was also not fitted with a fuse link.

The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016.

Corrective action

The product has been recalled from end users by Super Smart Services. Customers have been contacted directly via email.
