Hazard
The product presents a high risk of fire as the VS2 main circuit board on the 3KW products may overheat over time in the power section, which could cause the circuit board and surrounding enclosure to ignite.
The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016.
Corrective action
Owners of affected units must stop using the hot tub immediately and disconnect it from the power supply. The hot tub should be drained, and if located outside, properly winterised.
Distributors and owners of affected units have been contacted by Jacuzzi with information on disconnecting, draining, and winterising the hot tub.
