Hazard
The product presents a high risk of electric shock as it is inadequately earthed. Under fault conditions, this could cause the user to experience an electric shock or experience burns and injuries should the fuse explode.
The plug face did not meet the dimensional requirements of BS 1363 as the distance between the edge of the plug and live pins was insufficient, allowing the user to access live parts when plugging in, and unplugging, the plug from a socket. The battery was only able to reach 51.2% of its stated capacity. Improvements are also required to the product’s labelling, marking and documentation.
The product does not meet the requirements of the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008 or the Plugs & Sockets etc. (Safety) Regulations 1994
