Hazard
This product presents a serious risk of fire as it is not adequately earthed. The fuse within the plug does not contain a ballast as required by the relevant standard. Under fault conditions, the fuse will not function as required which could allow the product and plug to overheat and ignite, causing a fire.
The product does not meet the requirements of the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008 or the Plugs & Sockets etc. (Safety) Regulations 1994.
Corrective action
The import has been rejected at the border and destroyed.
