Hazard

The product presents a serious chemical risk as it contains excess phthalates. When tested, it was found that the plastic material from the suction cup contains 14.00 ± 0.85% DEHP and 8.54 ± 0.52% DBP. This exceeds the specified maximum limit of 0.1% by mass of the plasticised material, as the sum of the four phthalates. Phthalates can potentially harm children’s health either via cancer or non-cancer effects and may cause the child to have long term health implications.

The product does not meet the requirements of the REACH Enforcement Regulations 2008, and the Toys (Safety) Regulations 2011.
