Hazard

The product poses a serious risk of electric shock as when tested the construction of the product was found to be electrically unsafe. Creepage and clearance distances are insufficient and the product failed a 3kV dielectric strength test between phase connectors and foil wrapped casing.

The product’s plug also does not meet the dimensional requirements of the relevant standard (BS1363), has a sleeved earth pin, and its Live and Neutral pins have inadequate mechanical strength. The product is not supplied with an approved supply cord. Additionally, the product is not compliant with the marking requirements of the relevant standard and no instructions are provided.

The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016 or the Plugs and Sockets (Safety) Regulations 1994.
