The product presents a medium risk of ingestion as it’s reasonably foreseeable that the backing magnet is likely to fall into the user’s drink due to it’s positioning, so the magnet can be swallowed during drinking.
When tested the charms were found to have a magnetic flux index above 50 kG2mm2. The backing magnet had a magnetic strength range from 157.8 kG²mm² to 277.4kG²mm². The front magnet and crystal had a magnetic strength range from 133.9 kG²mm² to 176kG²mm².
If two or more magnets are swallowed, there is a risk that the magnets become drawn to each other in the digestive system, which could cause severe injury or death if rapid medical attention is not sought.
