Hazard
The product presents a high risk of fire and burns as it is not provided with any overheat protection. The appliance caught fire under the stalled rotor/restricted air flow test conditions and could lead to the user receiving burns if the product catches fire while in their hands.
The product had not been correctly fitted with a standard plug, as defined by the Plugs and Socket Regulations 1994. The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016.
Corrective action
The import has been rejected at the border and destroyed.
