The resistance between the earthing terminal and earthed metal parts exceeded the 0.5 Ω limit, and the cross-sectional area of the earth wire was so small that it melted when the test current was passed through it. Additionally, the supply cord sheaths had split at the point of entry to the floodlight case allowing access to basic insulation on the conductors.
Corrective action: The listing has been removed by the online marketplace (Amazon). Destruction of the product at the border.

The resistance between the earthing terminal and earthed metal parts exceeded the 0.5 Ω limit, and the cross-sectional area of the earth wire was so small that it melted when the test current was passed through it. The cross-sectional area of the conductors / supply cords was unacceptable. Additionally, the supply cord sheaths had split at the point of entry to the floodlight case allowing access to basic insulation on the conductors.
The product does not comply with the marking requirement of the relevant standard nor the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016.
Corrective action
The listing has been removed by the online marketplace (Amazon).
Destruction of the product at the border.
