Hazard
The product poses a serious risk of an electric shock due to a counterfeit fuse and lack of insulation. The internal build quality featured poor quality connections with wires soldered directly to component legs. The main 4 stage switch did not have any approval markings. The product stated it had thermal protection, but this could not be found. The fuse had friction fit end caps and did not contain a ballast, and the fuse is considered counterfeit.
The product does not meet the requirements of the Plugs & Sockets (Safety) Regulations or the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016.
Corrective action
The product has been destroyed at the border.
