Hazard
The affected batches present a risk of electric shock as it has been identified that the fuse has been wired to the neutral instead of the live input line. This could result in the treadmill remaining live even if the fuse blows. If the motor cover is removed for maintenance without turning off the treadmill at the mains, the user may receive an electric shock.
The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016.
Corrective action
Consumers in possession of an affected batch have been contacted directly by JTX Fitness to arrange an appointment for an engineer to modify their machine to correct the safety issue.
