Hazard
The product presents risk of fire and electric shock as the transformer for the product was of poor build quality because the primary and secondary windings were found to be touching. Under fault conditions, the product could overheat and ignite, or lead to accessible metal parts becoming live. Additionally, the plug face did not meet the dimensional requirements of BS 1363, exposing the user to an electric shock hazard.
The product does not meet the requirements of the Plugs & Sockets (Safety) Regulations 1994 or the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008.
