The product presents a serious chemical risk, and fails to meet the relevant requirements, as the yellow slime was found to contain 978.4 ± 188.8mg/kg of migratable boron, giving a range of 789.6-1167.2mg/kg. For this category of material, the lower value of this range exceeds the maximum permissible concentration of 300mg/kg for boron. Ingestion or contact with an excessive quantity of boron may harm the health of children by damaging the reproductive system.
The product does not meet the requirements of the Toys (Safety) Regulations 2011.
