Corrective action: Users must not operate the grain dryer with the inspection door panels removed. We recommend that users contact their supplier for information about how to bring existing machines into compliance. The product was withdrawn from the GB market until it could be brought into compliance. The GB suppliers have been required to contact all persons previously supplied with the product to provide them with revisions of information.

Hazard

The bottom cone of the drying chamber has two removable panels which act as an inspection door to allow access for maintenance and cleaning. The panels are retained in place with channels on the machine and additional bolts. The machine can be operated with the guards removed and the guards do not adequately prevent the risk of injury from contact with the moving internal stirrer arms of the grain dryer. The machine presents a serious risk of injuries from crushing and/or entanglement.

This product does not meet the requirements of The Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008.
