Hazard
Some batches of model numbers 2021-MTK-012 and 2019-MTK-008 may pose a risk of asphyxiation due to an inconsistency in the size and shape of the teether. Some batches were found to have a larger overall shape as well as wider set feet, resulting in the feet of the teether protruding through the template.
Affected large kangaroo teethers are of a certain shape/size that could press on the back of the throat of a small child who is too young to sit up unaided. This means that it could become impacted in their airway and potentially cause a blockage.
The affected batches of the above models only do not comply with the Toys (Safety) Regulations 2011.
Corrective action
One batch has been destroyed, and one batch has been withdrawn from the market.
