Hazard: The product presents a serious of fire as there is a risk of gas leaking which, if ignited, may set fire to flammable components on the front of the gas water heater.

Corrective action: A modification programme has been initiated by the manufacturer to undertake a safety upgrade to affected water heaters.

Hazard

A safety issue has been identified with Morco Open-Flued Gas Water Heaters which may be installed in mobile homes, caravans and domestic settings.

The product presents a risk of fire, explosion and injuries. There is a risk of gas leaking which, if ignited, may cause burns, explosions and injuries.

The products are not in conformity with the requirements of Regulation 2016/426.

Corrective action

Morco have initiated a modification programme to arrange for a Registered Gas Installer to conduct the required safety upgrade to affected water heaters free of charge.
