The flexible plastic bag used for packaging has an area greater than 100mm x 100mm and the bag thickness measured as 0.030 ± 0.002mm is less than the minimum 0.038mm specified, which poses a potential asphyxiation hazard.

Hazard

The product presents a serious risk of strangulation as the perimeter of the fixed loop that was created after the knot was tied was measured as being 624 ± 3mm. This is greater than the specified limit of 380mm for fixed loops with two fixing points that are less than 94mm apart. As there was no breakaway feature and the strap did not break when 25N was applied, the strap poses a potential strangulation hazard to a child under the age of 36 months. The flexible plastic bag used for packaging has an area greater than 100mm x 100mm and the bag thickness measured as 0.030 ± 0.002mm is less than the minimum 0.038mm specified, which poses a potential asphyxiation hazard.

The product does not meet the requirements of the Toys (Safety) Regulations 2011.
