Hazard
The product has been assessed as presenting a serious risk of entrapment between the heated plates to the user. The machine can fail to an unsafe condition resulting in the platens continuing to drive upwards despite the safety device being activated. The upper safety device does not provide adequate protection.
The product does not meet the requirements of the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008.
Corrective action
