The product presents a risk of electric shock as the white plastic control enclosure has inadequate mechanical strength and the product did not have the required creepage and clearance distances. The white plastic control enclosure broke during impact tests, potentially giving users access to live parts.
The minimum creepage and clearance distances between live and neutral on the control Printed Circuit Board (PCB) tracks were measured as 1.4mm, below the minimum requirement of 1.5mm clearance and 2.5mm creepage. The interconnection plug does not meet dimensional requirements. The product did not contain a marking label and no user instructions were provided. Some of the required documentation and markings were not present.
The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016.
