Hazard
The product presents a high risk of fire as the mains plug was not fitted with a fuse link which conforms to BS 1362. Should an electrical fault occur, the fuse can explode from the wall, causing a fire.
The product also presents a risk of electric shock as there was single insulation mains wiring in contact with unearthed accessible metallic parts, and the breakdown isolation did not meet the insulation requirements set by the Standard for Class II equipment.
The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016 or the Plugs & Sockets (Safety) Regulations 1994.
