The product presents a serious risk of electric shock because of the lack of protection from access to live parts. As the product is inadequately earthed, the insulation can break down during normal use, meaning the metal parts accessible to the consumer become live due to the fault. Unaware of this fault, the consumer may touch the item and receive an electric shock.
