Overview

Programme Partnership Arrangements (PPAs) were longer-term agreements with civil society organisations (CSOs) with global reach and expertise. They achieved real results in terms of poverty reduction and provided good value for money (demonstrated through competitive selection). PPAs also contributed to the delivery of the Millennium Development Goals by supporting citizens to improve their lives, delivering services to specific groups of poor people and holding governments and others to account. They were designed to help us get the most out of the money provided to these organisations and required rigorous reporting back every year.
