Summary

Similar to the DOC definition except that the word ‘garantita’ is added. Can be applied to wines of particularly high quality that have been recognised as DOC wines for at least five years and are marketed in containers of not more than 5 litres bearing the Italian State marking, to provide a better guarantee for consumers.
