In fact, it is a common knowledge that the importance and reputation of this denomination as a liqueur wine is due to the to the activity of both producers and English dealers who, since 1773, discovered Marsala, produced and marketed this extraordinary wine, allowing a vast knowledge all the world round, especially in England.
