Report an error with your eVisa
An eVisa is an online record of your immigration status. You access it using a UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) account.
Use this service to report an error if:
- the details on your eVisa were wrong when you got access to it - for example your name has been spelled wrong
- you can view your eVisa but you cannot use it to get a share code
- the Home Office set up your UKVI account and you’ve never been able to access it
There’s a different way to:
- create a UKVI account to get access to your eVisa
- update your UKVI account details - for example your name, address, email address, passport or photo
- recover your UKVI account if you’ve lost access to the email address or phone you use to receive security codes
- contact UKVI for help if you cannot view your eVisa because of a technical error when you’re signed into your UKVI account
Before you start
You’ll need to give:
- your full name, date of birth and nationality as they appear on your eVisa
- an email or UK postal address
You’ll also be asked to give one of the following:
- passport number
- biometric residence permit (BRP) number
- global web form (GWF) number from your visa application
- unique application number (UAN) from your visa application
- UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) customer number
What happens next
UKVI will contact you to either:
- confirm that they’ve corrected the details
- ask you for more information
