Report an error with your eVisa

An eVisa is an online record of your immigration status. You access it using a UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) account.

Use this service to report an error if:

  • the details on your eVisa were wrong when you got access to it - for example your name has been spelled wrong
  • you can view your eVisa but you cannot use it to get a share code
  • the Home Office set up your UKVI account and you’ve never been able to access it

Before you start

You’ll need to give:

  • your full name, date of birth and nationality as they appear on your eVisa
  • an email or UK postal address

You’ll also be asked to give one of the following:

  • passport number
  • biometric residence permit (BRP) number
  • global web form (GWF) number from your visa application
  • unique application number (UAN) from your visa application
  • UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) customer number

What happens next

UKVI will contact you to either:

  • confirm that they’ve corrected the details
  • ask you for more information
