A Prognosis and Diagnosis for China and the 2016 G20: The Politics of a New Global Economic Geography

Abstract

The aim of this report is to argue that – for 2016 – the China that will greet the states of the G20 will be a China that aims to change the material world. The idea is growth and development simultaneously, organised at the most macro level possible. The report suggests that the world is witnessing a refurbishment of China’s old Three World Theory – in which the BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) group and the G20 play pivotal roles.
