Accessible water and sanitation in practice. A case study from World Vision Ethiopia

A case study on measures to include disabled people in a water and sanitation programme

Abstract

This is the response to a DEWPoint helpdesk enquiry. A case study highlighting the experiences of World Vision Ethiopia as they implement measures to include disabled people in their water and sanitation programme, much of which involves construction of latrines in health centres and schools, is presented. Both rural and urban interventions are discussed.

This report was produced by DEW Point, a Resource Centre for Environment, Water and Sanitation, that was funded by DFID and managed by a consortium of companies led by Harewelle International Limited. The Resource Centre closed in 2012.
