Adaptation for forests and communities in the Congo Basin.
Abstract
The challenge for the Congo Basin Forest and Climate Change Adaptation (CoFCCA) project was to increase both public and policymaker awareness of the contribution of forests to the development of livelihood adaptation strategies and to use forests goods and services in a way that does not jeopardize the resilience of the forests to future climate impacts. This would ensure the continuous provision of these goods and services, which contribute to adaptation, improving food security and reducing poverty.
