Abstract

The African Community Access Programme (AFCAP) is a research programme designed to promote safe and reliable access for poor rural communities in Africa. AFCAP is based around a portfolio of research and demonstration projects that identify solutions for rural access and maximize the use of local resources. A workshop was held in Tanzania to identify, evaluate and prioritize potential challenges and solutions for research projects.
