Analysis of genetic variability for kernel carotenoid concentration in selected maize inbred lines

Abstract

A selected set of 24 maize inbred lines was analysed to study genetic variability for total kernel carotenoid concentration, revealing significant variation. The carotenoid concentration of the set of genotypes across different environments was reasonably stable, implying lesser influence of G x E for the trait.
