Bacterial diseases in frog hatcheries and evaluation of hazards associated with antibiotic usage.

Abstract

The objectives of this project were to understand the susceptibility of frogspawn and tadpoles to bacterial infection, determine optimum conditions within hatcheries, determine the efficacy of antibacterial chemotherapy and to develop a model of infection. Knowledge gained was used to make recommendations to frog farmers in Thailand as to the proper management of farms and the reduction of disease incidence.
