Abstract

This Research in Context brief summarises and sets in context emerging findings from the project ‘Long-term livelihood change in Tanzania‘. The project was funded by the Department for International Development - Economic and Social Research Council ‘Growth Research Programme’ (DEGRP).

The project investigated how livelihoods had changed in rural Tanzania from the 1980s and 1990s to the mid-2010s. The research was led by Dan Brockington, Director of the Sheffield Institute for International Development at the University of Sheffield.
