Clinical perceptions of infectious causes of maternal death.
Abstract
The authors comment on the unusually high percentage of maternal deaths that, in the article on which this is a comment, were found at autopsy to have been caused by infection. They also urge publication of information on whether or not these deaths were perceived clinically to have been caused by infection, to indicate whether or not clinical diagnosis is accurate.
