Conceptual Aspects of Adaptive and Collaborative Approaches: Reflections from the literature review.

Abstract

Over the past 15 years or so, many different initiatives have emerged to conceptualize adaptive collaborative approaches (ACA) in agriculture and natural resource management (ANR) in different parts of the developing world. A key concept within ACA has been known as adaptive collaborative management (ACM), that has been recently applied in forestry and other ecosystems. This paper discusses relevant elements for the ongoing Research Into Use study on ACM as it relates to ‘research into use’.
