Abstract

The introduction to this report gives a PACE project overview, reports on local government structure in Nepal, and outlines the energy sector. Chapter 2 is concerned with renewable energy and energy efficiency developments, including outlines of solar and hydro power schemes. The next chapter discusses private sector involvement in electricity provision, including public-private sector partnerships. PPP types already tested in Nepal are listed in an appendix.
