D2.6. International Organizations, Networks and Initiatives of the Water Sector.
Abstract
In this report, information is provided on a total of 48 international organizations, networks and initiatives of the water sector for the developing world. The organizations included in the report range from UN organizations, foundations and funding instruments to political councils and associations of the water sector involved in development cooperation which operate globally, in Asia and in Africa. A summary of each organization, network or initiative includes its objectives, structure and relevance, and website address.
The report has potential use for those engaged in water for development research as it supports the aims of the SPLASH ERA-Net to collate and provide information that will increase knowledge on the activities and organizations residing outside the EU Water Initiative and the partner countries involved in SPLASH.
