Abstract

This document represents the final report of project R7958, 'Developing supportive policy environments for improved land management strategies'. The report describes the projects activities and outputs, including the identification of constraints to the uptake and adaptation of land resource management strategies, which are amenable to policy intervention. The report also describes the the Theory of Reasoned Action (TORA) approach used by the project and presents a large amount of detailed information related to farmers' beliefs, behaviours, constraints and attitudes to land management in the hills of Nepal.
