Abstract

This report summarises some of the substantive results from the 3-year programme of research funded by the UK Department for International Development and based in the peri-urban environs of Kumasi, Ghana. The aim of the research was to develop methodology for collecting and using information on peri-urban production systems to benefit the poor, using GIS and remote sensing technology.
